BMW Group Make Initial Launch of MINI Brand in India

BMW Group launched the 2012 MY BWM M5 high-performance saloon at the same with the launching of their MINI brand in India. The Launching takes place at Auto Expo 2012 this week.

MINI Cooper India Price

The off-road price for BMW M5 is 95.9 lakhs or about US$ 181,000 while MINI Cooper is priced at 24.9 lakhs or about US$47,000. With these ‘expensive’ prices, even the cheapest MINI will remain unaffordable for most of Indian people.

But, on the other side, it’s merely about game of numbers and of course among the extremely huge number of people, India is still a promising market for the premium cars.

India is entered by MINI brand with highly various models. It includes the Cooper convertible, the Cooper S Countryman crossover, the Cooper and Cooper S hatchbacks.

Andreas Schaaf, president of BMW Group India, said that BMW Group start to play in the premium small car segment for Indian market. It’s initialized with the launching of MINI Brand. For the first stage, BMW Group will focus on establishing this brand in India. At the next stage, BMW Group will move further on developing dealer network and increasing the sales volumes.
