The refreshed version of Mazda’s sub-compact car of Demio has been released. The 2012MY Demio, which is released in Japan home market and is known as Mazda2 is actually to introduce the new “13-SKYACTIV”. The engine used in this car is direct-injection engine with the capacity of 1.3 liters of gasoline. This engine has equipped the SKYACTIV-G 1.3 with the technologies of fuel-saving.

The ration of high compression featured in the four-cylinder powerplants used in the car is 14.0:1. The energy delivered is 84 HP at 5400 rpm. And the peak torque reaches 112 Nm at 4000 rpm. Continuously Variable Transmission is connected to this engine. It is reported that the use of fuel of this car if based on the Japan norms is rated at 30 km/liter.

The start/stop system which has been improved can be found in this Demio 13-SKYACTIV. To control the airflow both below and above the body, the aero-parts are completed with engine under cover and back roof spoiler. Engine cover in blue metallic, headlight rings in blue, and exclusive back badge are things which can be ordered by the customers to be included.
To monitor the steering wheel’s movement, the car is completed with i-DM. Besides, the vehicle speed, brake pedal and accelerator are also monitored. Through the colored lights and also the gauge on the dashboard, the monitoring can inform the skill owned by the driver. There are three levels of skill driving, started from stage1, 2, and 3. By improving the stage, the driver will also feel their skill in driving is also improved.
In Japan, this car will be priced 1,149,000 yen-1,621,750 yen.
